It is believed that this whole exercise will cut the posts of teachers in the state and the new teacher recruitment can cause crisis. Explain that the number of council schools in UP is 1.32 lakh. These schools are the same, where classes up to 8th are conducted by the state government. There is a preparation to merge such schools in these government schools, where the number of students in the present time is less than 50. In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education Deepak Kumar (Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education Deepak Kumar) had ordered in this regard, in which he ordered to merge such schools. The order states that the school with low student numbers will be merged with a school school. On the other hand, if there is a drain, river, highway, railway track on the way to a school, then such schools can also be merged.

445 schools will be merged in Lucknow itself

With this entire exercise, 445 primary and upper primary schools will be merged alone in Lucknow, which have been started by the department to merge. It is believed that from July, children studying in these schools will study in near schools. Regarding this, BSA Ram Pravesh of Lucknow made it clear that the school will not be closed, but the children studying in them will go to other schools. Anganwadi, Bal Vatika, Library and Sports activities will be started in these schools.

Why are teachers organizations protesting?

The work of merging schools in UP has started, but teacher organizations are opposing it. State President of Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Association Sushil Kumar Pandey has described it as violation of the Right to Education Act and injustice to the future of children. He demanded the government to withdraw the decision and warned to go to the movement and court.

At the same time, National Movement for Old Pension Scheme National President Vijay Kumar Bandhu, Lucknow District President of UP Primary Teachers Association Virendra Pratap Singh, Junior High School Teachers Association District Treasurer Manoj Kumar Maurya and Teacher Shikshamitra Instructor Employees In -charge Harishankar Rathore have also described the merger towards privatization of schools.

Know what will happen to the proposed new teacher recruitment?

The recruitment of 65000 teachers was proposed in UP this year. Now, when the exercise to merge schools has started, the new teacher recruitment seems to be hovering. It is believed that due to the merger of the school, the teachers teaching there will also be adjusted to the vacant posts. With this, old teachers will be posted on vacant posts of teachers.
