Silambarasan and director Vetrimaaran teaming up for a film, and this news has created a stir on social media. A picture leaked from the set confirmed the film's kick-off. Following this, the report that this new film is the sequel to the super hit film ' Vada Chennai ' has become a topic of discussion among fans.
' Vaadivaasal ' shelved again
Director Vetrimaaran was initially going to direct the long-pending film ‘Vaadivaasal’ starring actor Suriya . Although the pre-production work for this film was underway, reports emerged a few days ago that the film had been shelved. Following this, news came out that Vetrimaaran is going to direct a new film under the same production house as per his promise, and decided to cast Silambarasan in the lead role in the film. It is also said that the shooting of this film will begin in July.
Vetrimaaran on ' Vada Chennai 2 '
Vetrimaaran has clarified the status of his film with Silambarasan and 'Vada Chennai 2' during his recent appearance at a public event. Speaking at the event, the director said, “Vada Chennai belongs to Dhanush . Dhanush is the producer and hero of the film. Dhanush has announced that he will be doing ‘Vada Chennai 2’ next year. We will start the film accordingly next year." He further added that he would first do a film for Thanu sir and then collaborate with Dhanush for 'Vada Chennai 2'. Fans are very excited to hear this. There is no doubt that the films this alliance will create from now on will be a celebration for Tamil cinema .
Meanwhile, reports suggest that a promo of Vetrimaaran's new film with Silambarasan is set to be released on June 25th.
