Yoga: A Precious Gift from India

Yoga is not a recent phenomenon; it is an ancient practice with roots that extend thousands of years back. Originating in India, it has been embraced by sages and seers for its ability to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Today, yoga has become synonymous with a healthy lifestyle worldwide.

Historical Background

The concept of International Yoga Day was proposed by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 27, 2014.
