Mumbai, June 21: Music composer, singer, and actor Guru Randhawa has launched his latest track in honor of World Music Day this Saturday.
The song, titled ‘From Ages’, encapsulates themes of love, longing, and desire, and is featured in his album ‘Without Prejudice’. Guru takes on the roles of composer, vocalist, and lyricist for this piece.
Discussing the song, Guru Randhawa expressed, “‘From Ages’ is more than just a song; it embodies a feeling. While many experience love, few understand its true depth. With this track, I aim to convey the purity and richness of this emotion using contemporary language.”
The accompanying music video showcases vibrant visuals, with Guru Randhawa exploring urban fashion and an emotional storyline that aligns with the song's cultural and energetic fusion theme.
Recently, Guru Randhawa also released his first independent album, ‘Without Prejudice’, in partnership with Warner Music India. The album features nine tracks, including ‘Gallan Battan’, ‘Snapback’, and ‘Sirra’, all of which have resonated with listeners in various ways. The music video for ‘Qatal’, a lively and catchy song, has gained significant traction on social media.
Last month, Guru Randhawa shared a poignant message reflecting the sentiments of many in India following the tragic attack in Pahalgam, attributed to Pakistan-backed militants, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists, including a Nepali national, on April 22.
Emphasizing the need for unity during such trying times, Randhawa stated on his Instagram, "India is not merely a nation; it represents an emotion, a bond that transcends caste, religion, language, or background. We are all Indians first, and our unity is our greatest strength.”
The artist, known for his hit ‘Ishare Tere’, believes that those who criticize the country should consider relocating to a place that aligns more with their views.
