Carlos Alcaraz has joked that he'd be happy to "kill" Novak Djokovic for denying him Olympic gold in Paris last summer. The Spaniard went into the final at Roland Garros as the clear favourite against his Serbian rival, only to lose 7-6 (3) 7-6 (2) and have to settle for silver.

The victory was perceived as a seminal moment in the career of Djokovic. He'd long admitted he craved an Olympic gold medal, the one major tennis honour to have previously alluded him in his illustrious career. Alcaraz, meanwhile, will now have to wait until Los Angeles in 2028 for his next opportunity.

Today, the 22-year-old faces Jiri Lehecka in the final at Queen's as he aims to win the title he first captured in 2023. During the tournaments, he's been one of a number of players to have sat down with comedian Josh Berry to talk tennis.

The world No.2 was put on the spot by his host when asked his choices in a 'kiss, marry, kill'. The three options presented to him by Berry were Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

A hesitant Alcaraz laughed initially before answering the question, saying: "I'd kill Novak. For winning that final of the Olympic Games. I could marry Rafa Nadal."

He didn't complete his answer but presumably left Federer as the man he'd kiss. The Spaniard, however, was at least braver than Emma Raducanu when it came to making choices.

The British star, who spoke with Berry this week, was careful not to make any controversial comments. She replied to the same query with: "There's no way I'm answering this question."

She may also have been relieved Alcaraz wasn't presented as one of the options, given the current publicity surrounding the pair. Raducanu watched Alcaraz in his semi-final at Queen's on Saturday, with the two players having confirmed they'll team up in the mixed doubles at the US Open this year.
