Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 22: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in partnership with EAGLE Visakhapatnam and Decathlon, successfully hosted a Cyclothon today as part of the ongoing 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwada' campaign.
This event aligns with the United Nations' initiative to recognize June 26 as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Pankaj Kumar Dwivedi, the Chief Guest, officially launched the Cyclothon, which was organized by Rajan Kumar, Superintendent of NCB Visakhapatnam, along with S Ramesh and Mrs. Kalyani from EAGLE.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from various groups, including the EAGLE Anti-Narcotics Task Force and the State Bank of India (SBI), Siripuram Branch.
More than 100 cyclists from different backgrounds joined the event, promoting the message: 'Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs.' The cyclists traversed designated routes in the city, symbolizing unity and a collective stand against drug abuse.
This event underscored the commitment of NCB and ANTF to engage with the community and promote drug prevention through awareness initiatives and collaborative efforts.
