Day three of the first Test between India and England saw a Yorkshire club player named Yash Vagadia take the field despite not being in their squad. It has inevitably raised curiosity among the netizens about how Vagadia can take the field despite not being in the squad.

The incident came to light early in India's innings when the tourists were 22/1 in the seventh over and Vagadia was spotted fielding. An Indian-origin cricketer, Vagadia plays club cricket for Yorkshire. The medium pace-bowling all-rounder made his first domestic one-day appearance against Warwickshire last year and has played a couple of List A games.
