Bajaj has launched the Chetak 3001 E-Scooter to match with the rest of their lineup. It has been launched at a starting price of Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom). This is a successor to the 2903 and is based on the new 35 series platform. This means that the battery is mounted on the floor and it liberates some practical space inside the storage space.

There is a 3.0 kWh battery pack which provides the scooter an estimated range of 127 kms. It can juice up from 0-80% in 3 hours and 50 minutes using a 750W charger. It gets 35 litres of under-seat storage. One can also option the TechPac which gives it a set of features like music control, call control, guide me home lights, hill hold assist, reverse light and auto flashing stop lamp.

The Chetak 3001 is the most affordable in the 35 series lineup which was introduced earlier this year. It goes against the likes of the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Honda Activa e, Suzuki e-Access and the Ola S1 Pro. The Chetak is the only one to have a full metal body but it does lack in terms of range which the competition does offer.
