New Delhi: The Indian government has categorically rejected allegations circulating on social media that US fighter jets utilized Indian airspace to conduct strikes on Iran.
On Sunday, the US targeted three nuclear facilities in Iran, with President Donald Trump cautioning that further attacks could follow if Iran responds.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check unit addressed these rumors on X, stating, "Numerous social media profiles have asserted that the US employed Indian airspace for aircraft operations against Iran during Operation #MidnightHammer. This assertion is FALSE."
The PIB further clarified, "Indian airspace was NOT accessed by the United States during Operation #MidnightHammer," emphasizing the accuracy of their fact-checking efforts.
During a press briefing, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine detailed the flight path taken by US aircraft.
