Veteran actor Sanjay Narvekar joins the cast of CID 2 for the upcoming new twist
CID 2 is earning rave reviews for its intriguing twists and turns. The show has once again captivated viewers' hearts. It had a successful run from 1998 and 2018. After the first successful season, the creators returned with season two in 2024. This was the best news for all of the fans. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Ajay Nagrath, Aditya Srivastava, Ansha Sayed, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta, and others returned to reprise their renowned roles. This new season is set to have many twists coming up.
We witnessed Shivaji Satam, also known as ACP Pradyuman , die, followed by a new ACP. Parth Samthaan has joined the show as ACP Ayushmaan. He stepped in to manage the team in ACP Pradyuman's absence, as well as to determine who the 'gaddar' is on the CID team. ACP Pradyuman returned after Barboza's plans failed, but was not apprehended. It was also discovered that Dr. Salunkhe was the 'gaddar' who assisted Barboza.
Ayushmaan quit the team, and we saw Inspector Shreya return when ACP Pradyuman rescued her daughter. We witnessed Daya and Shreya's tearful reunion. We now have another major twist in the show. Daya is now portrayed as the villain who murdered police officers. We also observe him preparing and discussing stuff with Shreya in secret.
They have been hiding things from the CID team, and another officer has entered to examine the matter. The high commission has decided to dispatch another 'SOS' officer because the CID team has been unable to apprehend the killers of the police officers.
In this new role, legendary actor Sanjay Narvekar will play the investigative officer . Yes, he will appear on the show beginning next week. He will now examine this case, but will he be able to uncover Daya's truth?
