It was recently announced that Mohanlal’s Dirshyam 3 will begin filming from October 2025. Interestingly, a few days back, it was reported that the Ajay Devgn starrer Hindi remake will go on floors from October 2, 2025.
This led to many fans wondering if both the versions are gonna be filmed simultaneously and have a same day release as reported a few years earlier.
Now, in an interview, filmmaker Jeethu Joseph has confirmed that contrary to online reports, the plot of Drishyam 3 Hindi and Telugu will be the same as the Malayalam original.

Sharing the same, he told ETimes, “The script of the third film is nearing completion. There have been reports that the Hindi version will have a different story, but that's not true. The Hindi film will also be based on my story. Once I complete my script, it will be shared with the Hindi team, who will then adapt it to suit their setting and make suitable cultural changes.”

On being asked if both the films will be shot simultaneously, he replied, “That's not something we can confirm now. The dates of the lead actors may not work out that way.”
He, however, added, “There was a request from their side for a simultaneous release. So, we have been discussing the prospect of releasing the films simultaneously—not just the Malayalam and Hindi versions, but the Telugu one as well. In this OTT age, they feel that releasing on different dates might reduce the film's impact in the other languages.”
