Arsenal and Chelsea have been dealt a blow to their hopes of signing Bradley Barcola. The 22-year-old winger has been briefly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer after following his impressive performances for Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcola, who sees his contract at the Parc des Princes expire in June 2028, featured 34 times in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists. Playing a key role in Luis Enrique's side, he helped the Parisians win a four successive title.
The France international also fired PSG to Champions League glory, netting three and setting up four in 17 games. Barcola was undroppable at the start of the campaign, but, following the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli in January, his minutes too a hit.

As Désiré Doué began to his feet, he struggled to keep his place in the starting lineup. Barcola still managed to turns heads though, reportedly attracting interest from some top clubs in Europe.
According to French outlet L’Équipe, PSG have rejected approaches from Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich for the winger. The report claims that the Parisians don't want to sell Barcola, who was said to be unhappy with his situation under Enrique.
However, L’Équipe reckon there has been no 'war of egos', and the Frenchman wishes to stay with the European champions. Barcola would've been an excellent addition for either Mikel Arteta or Enzo Maresca.
This summer, the Arsenal boss wants to 'add goals and creativity' to his squad, while the Chelsea gaffer has set his sights on a new left winger. Speaking to reporters ahead of the Gunners' final game of the season, Arteta commented on the transfer window.
"What is clear with the amount of injuries we had in the frontline is that we need a goal threat," said the Spaniard. "We need the firepower out there.
"We cannot rely just on the numbers we had before. We have to add goals, we have to add creativity, and we have to add numbers, and that will be in different positions."
Then, ahead of Chelsea's 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC in the Club World Cup, Maresca touched on the impact of Jadon Sancho's return to Manchester United and Mykhailo Mudryk's absence. The Blues boss said: "Jadon is not with us.
"So, for sure, that is a position that probably we need to do something. Also, because Misha [Mudryk] is not with us. At this moment, we have Noni [Madueke], Pedro [Neto] and Ty [George] as proper wingers.
"So, for sure, something is going to happen."
