Amber Heard, Brandon Flynn, and Lío Mehiel have been added to the cast of Spirit of the People, the world premiere of a new play by Jeremy O. Harris. Directed by Katina Medina Mora, this production is part of the 2025 Williamstown Theatre Festival. The trio joins a cast that features Tony Award nominees Ato Blankson-Wood and James Cusati-Moyer, along with Amandla Jahava, Emma Ramos, Julian Sanchez, Zachary Booth, and Tonatiuh. Heard is recognized for her performances in Aquaman, Zombieland, Pineapple Express, and The Stand. Flynn is known for his role in 13 Reasons Why and recently appeared Off-Broadway in Kowalski. Mehiel gained fame as the lead in the Sundance hit Mutt. Notably, this marks Amber Heard's return to acting after becoming a mother.

In May, Amber Heard embraced motherhood for the second time and announced the birth of twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean. This announcement was made on Mother's Day, May 11, 2025, accompanied by a touching Instagram post featuring the newborns' tiny feet. She had previously welcomed her first child, a daughter named Oonagh, through surrogacy in 2021.
