New Delhi. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) recently launched its new Quantum 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) service from Hyderabad’s Amirpet Exchange. The program was led by CMD A. Robert J. Ravi did and was present in it BSNL, Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and senior industry officials. Now the company has also introduced the BSNL 5G plan. What makes Quantum 5G FWA special?
Sim-lace design: Through BSNL’s Direct-TO-Device technology, this service provides auto-authentication without physical SIM. This is India’s first production-level SIM-Les 5G service.
Completely indigenous technology: The entire network of BSNL has been developed in India under the ‘self -sufficient India’ mission from stack core to Ran and CPE.
Right speed: During testing in Amirpet, download speed 980 Mbps and upload speed 140 Mbps were recorded, with less than 10 milliseconds. It is ideal for 4K streaming, cloud gaming and remote work.

Fast and easy installation: Installation is possible without laying fiber through the plug-end-play gateway. BSNL’s existing tower network can provide service to 85% of the houses in Hyderabad.

The company has not yet given detailed information about the calling and data plan available with both these plans. The 5G standalone core network of BSNL will provide SLA-supported, network-adjoining connectivity for Smart Industrial Clusters. This indigenous 5G FWA initiative will be helpful in promoting digital connectivity in rural and remote areas.
