State Employe News: An important update is coming up for government employees working in the Maharashtra State Government service. This is updated on the retirement age of state government employees. In fact, at present, the retirement age of central government employees is 60 years.

In addition, the retirement age of state employees in 25 states across the country is 60 years. What is more, the retirement age of state employees of the state of Maharashtra has also been fixed at 60 years.

But the retirement age of the state government employees of A, B and C category of Maharashtra State Government Service is only 58 years. Due to this, the demand for the retirement age of all government employees in the state for 60 years has been constantly emphasizing for the last few years.

In this regard, the office bearers of the state officials had also discussed with former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, which had also held an important meeting.

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had also given positive assurances on raising the age of retirement at an important meeting at that time. However, a positive decision has not yet been made in this regard.

But in the coming days, there is a possibility of a positive decision on raising the retirement age. But now we will know about why this decision can be made, why the government can take this decision.

Why retirement age will be extended

In fact, there are thousands of vacancies in the state at present. The state government had announced the filling of 75,000 posts for the festival of independence, but so far only 40 thousand posts have been recruited.

That is, about 30000 posts are still to be filled out by the government. Currently, there are large vacancies in various sections of the state government. This will help the government to run the administration if the retirement age is 60 years.

Employees’ associations say that it is impossible to recruit a large number of servants at the same time and this can be a good alternative to retirement age. Also, every year, 50 to 60 employees retire from the state government service.

Due to this, the government has to pay around Rs 60 lakh per year after the retirement of these employees. The amount was about 3 thousand 600 crores together. Employees’ associations claim that increasing the age limit will be avoided by the government’s huge financial burden.

It is likely that the state government will take a positive decision in this regard. But will the state government actually take positive decision on the retirement age of government employees for 60 years? It will be curious to see this because the officials have not yet been in handy.
