Dhanush’s latest film Kuberaa has seen its first drop in box office earnings following a robust opening weekend run. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film was released on June 20 and has received glowing reviews from critics and audiences alike. In Kuberaa, Dhanush plays the compelling role of a beggar — a performance that has won him widespread praise.

Kuberaa Day 4 Box Office: Sharp Decline After Weekend Surge

According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, Kuberaa collected ₹6.50 crore on its fourth day. This represents an approximate 62.52% decline in collections from Sunday to Monday.

With this, the film’s total box office earnings have reached ₹55.10 crore so far.

Kuberaa's Strong Opening Weekend Performance

Kuberaa had a remarkable start at the box office, earning ₹14.75 crore on its opening day. It gained further momentum with an 11.86% increase on Saturday, collecting ₹16.5 crore. The upward trend continued on Sunday with a collection of ₹17.35 crore.

However, Monday’s dip shows the film settling into its weekday pace. On Monday, the film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 34.56% among Telugu audiences.

Star-Studded Cast and Multilingual Appeal

The film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil, boasting a powerful cast that includes Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil. The movie’s pan-India reach was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a UA certificate after 19 scenes were trimmed from the original cut.

Rashmika Mandanna’s Heartfelt Note for Dhanush

Following the film’s success meet on Sunday, Rashmika Mandanna took to Instagram on Monday to express her admiration for Dhanush’s dedication and kindness.

Sharing a selfie with him, she wrote, “You’ve been an absolute gem of a person.. Thankyou so much for working so incredibly hard each and every day (only know this cz every time we talk we are in different cities, doing different things and talking about how important rest is but how we are never actually able to do anything about it) and for giving us this kind of performance not only in Kuberaa, but in everything that you do.. it’s nothing short of incredible..”

She further added, “You’ve been so incredibly kind, not only to me but everyone who I’ve seen you interact with.. and that I’ll remember forever, the number of laddoos you’ve given me on set.. the way you’d help me with my Tamil lines everyday.. when you liked the way I’d do a scene and you’d say.. ‘that was nice..’”
