WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Bear.

The Bear season four is on its way this week with fans keen to look back at what happened in series three ahead of the intense restaurant drama's return.

Disney+ and Hulu will be welcoming back Carmy Berzatto (played by Jeremy Allen White) and the rest of his team in The Bear as new episodes are almost ready to drop.

There will be plenty to unfold going into the new season given how last year's outing ended so before its big release, here's a recap on how the series three finale came to an end.

The Bear season three's finale mostly took place at Chef Terry's (Olivia Colman) restaurant Ever where Carmy, Luca (Will Poulter) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) all trained.

Ever was considered as one of the best restaurants in Chicago and yet, it was closing down, leaving Carmy worried for The Bear's future.

To mark the end of an era, Carmy and the gang took the night off and spent the evening at Ever for a commemorative party.

While Carmy, Luca and Sydney (Ayo Edibiri) enjoyed the lavish food and spoke about what the business means to them, Richie was in the back with the waiting staff who he bonded with back in series two.

When he spent time with them previously, Richie regained that passion for the job but working under Carmy's chaotic management style clearly left him drained.

He asked Jessica (Sarah Ramos) how she was able to keep upbeat about her stressful job, to which she stated that it was thanks to good people outside of work, hinting at a possible romance between them.

Meanwhile, during the commemorative party, Carmy spotted his horrible old New York boss Chef Field (Joe McHale).

This may be the first time Carmy has been faced with Chef Field in the present day but he has haunted his memories with his ruthless words since The Bear began, leading to him almost having a breakdown.

Carmy decided to confront his old boss head on and tell him how he impacted his mental health but Field didn't apologise.

In fact, he said it was his harsh attitude which made Carmy into a great chef and that he never thought about him, leaving Carmy once again upset.

As the party played out, Sydney was approached by Chef Adam (Adam Shapiro) who was starting up a new restaurant and wanted her to run his new venture.

Carmy had also been offered a partnership deal at The Bear by Carmy but unbeknown to him, she had accepted the position with Chef Adam

But as most of the team went out to party the night away, Sydney became overwhelmed and went outside and appeared to have a panic attack.

As this went on, Carmy got a notification that the Chicago Tribune review for The Bear was now live.

Fans couldn't read the entire review but it appeared to be mixed with words including "inconsistent", "excellent", "innovative" and "sloppy".

Cicero (Oliver Platt) had previously told Carmy that just one bad review could be enough for funding to be pulled with, leading to the intense chef to let out an angered "motherf*****", before the "to be continued" title card popped up, teasing more to come from season four.

The Bear season four premieres on Wednesday, June 25, on Hulu in the US and Thursday, June 26, on Disney+ in the UK.
