Celtic Holiday Parks, one of Wales' most prominent holiday park operators, has entered administration, sparking concern among holidaymakers and caravan owners. The company, which operates luxury sites across south Pembrokeshire, is currently seeking a buyer while continuing to trade.

Joint administrators Alistair Wardell and Richard Lewis of Grant Thornton UK were appointed on May 27, 2025. In a statement issued today, they confirmed that all three parks, Noble Court Holiday Park in Narberth, Meadow House Holiday Park in Amroth, and a third location under the Celtic Holiday Parks brand, will remain open and continue trading as normal during the administration process.

All bookings will be honoured unless customers are advised otherwise, and caravan and lodge owners will retain full access to the sites. Employees have also been retained in full to support ongoing operations.

Celtic Holiday Parks was established in 2003 by managing director Huw Pendleton as a family-run venture.

Over the past two decades, the company has invested approximately £6 million into expanding and upgrading its sites, offering a mix of static caravans, luxury lodges, glamping pods, and touring and camping pitches.

The company weathered the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic with support from a six-figure HSBC loan in 2020, secured under the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme, which enabled the addition of 54 new holiday homes across its portfolio.

In recognition of his work in the sector, Mr Pendleton was honoured in 2022 for his "outstanding contribution to the UK tourism industry." The parks have earned multiple awards, including "Luxury Accommodation Provider of the Year - South Wales" and recognition as among the "Best Caravan and Camping Parks in Pembrokeshire."

In their statement, the administrators said: "We are continuing to trade the Company's business whilst a buyer is sought, and the Company's employees have been retained to support this strategy.

"We confirm that, unless customers are contacted and advised otherwise, their bookings will go ahead and access to the parks will continue as normal."
