In a significant move to strengthen India’s fast-growing digital gaming and esports sector, the CII’s - Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS) has appointed Shiva Nandy, Founder & CEO of Skyesports, as its new Treasurer.

Recognized for pioneering grassroots esports in India, Nandy brings deep industry insight to IDGS at a pivotal time for the AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics & Extended Reality) sector, which is poised to play a major role in India’s digital economy.

As Treasurer, Nandy will focus on advancing esports recognition, expanding global market access for Indian talent, and supporting policy engagement and strategic initiatives—most notably the upcoming IDGS Gaming Conclave 2025 in Bengaluru.

“Esports is an emerging force in India’s digital landscape. I’m honoured to contribute towards building its global future,” said Nandy.

IDGS, under the aegis of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), continues to serve as the leading platform for industry-government-academia collaboration in shaping India’s digital gaming ecosystem.
