Actor Gary Hollywood is best known for starring on the BBC's beloved sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys as the hilarious hairdresser, Dino Doyle. Although he has been in the film and TV industry for over three decades, the 45-year-old revealed he is now living his dreams come true after welcoming his second son, Carter.

Gary and his wife Cherylanne welcomed the baby in October 2024, after suffering a devastating miscarriage the year before. The star shared: "You never get over [a miscarriage]. [Our baby] will always be in our memory, you just learn how to deal with it." He has since got involved with the Baby Loss Retreat, a charity dedicated to supporting families after the loss of their baby.

The organisation have teamed up with the match-funding campaign Big Give and is cited by Gary as the reason he and Cherylanne, who became ambassadors of the charity in 2024, were able to navigate their grief after losing their own baby at 12 weeks.

The actor candidly told Hello Magazine: "I felt very hopeless, then I met Bryan and Julie Morrison [founders] through a charity event. Because of what had happened, I was really interested in what the charity was all about.

"That's when I found out the support that they give. They've become a great support to us in helping us to deal with things. It made me interested to get involved."

The couple also share a five-year-old son, Ollie, who Gary said is embracing his role as a big brother.

The star told the outlet: "Ollie's been a great help. We've made sure to involve him in the chores of getting nappies or at bath time and occupying Carter, so he's had his little role.

"We've come through the storm, the cloud has lifted and through the help of the charity, the help of friends and family, we have the strength to move forward."

When announcing Carter's birth, Gary described the newborn as a "rainbow" and admitted: "When we found out we were pregnant again, it just felt like all our dreams came true."

Gary, who also has two children from his previous marriage to Sharon Mudie, added: "I cried at all my children's births, and because this was a rainbow baby, it made it even more special."
