Disciplinary Measures Against BJP MLA

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh has issued a show cause notice to Rajiv Singh Parichha, the MLA representing Babina, following a viral video that depicted his aides allegedly assaulting a passenger aboard the Vande Bharat train.

As reported by a news agency, the state BJP deemed the incident a serious breach of discipline and has requested that Parichha provide a written explanation within a week.

Deep Narayan Shukla, the general secretary of the UP BJP, stated that the actions of the MLA are considered a significant violation of party conduct, necessitating a formal response.

The altercation took place on June 19 when a passenger declined to swap seats with the MLA. This refusal reportedly angered Parichha, and upon the train's arrival at Virangana Lakshmibai station, a group of men identified as his aides entered the coach and allegedly assaulted the passenger.
