New Delhi: Bollywood diva Karisma Kapoor turned 51 on June 25, 2025. Once the reigning queen of Hindi cinema, the actress carved out a niche for herself with back-to-back hits in the ’90s. From Andaz apna apna to King Hindustani, her screen presence was unmistakably iconic.
Her acting career began in 1991 with Prem Qaidi. While the film garnered mixed reviews, her performance was praised for its natural charm and confident delivery. However, it was her 1992 film Liveropposite Ajay Devgn, that shot her to stardom. What followed was a golden decade of memorable roles across genres including romantic comedies, intense family dramas and blockbuster musicals.
Karisma Kapoor’s net worth has been estimated between Rs 90 and Rs 120 crore. It has been reported that her late ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, had secured a Rs 14 crore bond in her name and that of their children, with the Rs 10 lakh monthly interest allegedly covering their household expenses.
Endorsements have significantly contributed to the King Hindustani wealth. Referred to by many as the ultimate ‘Lux girl’, Karisma became synonymous with the soap brand during her heyday. Over the years, she’s endorsed brands such as McCain, Kellogg’s, Danone, Crescent Lawn, Garnier, Sukkhi Jewellery, and Admix Retail. Brand deals have reportedly brought her Rs 50–60 lakh per endorsement.
By the mid-’90s, Karisma had become one of Bollywood’s most bankable female stars. According to a report by News18, she was paid Rs 50–70 lakh per film during her peak and even commanded Rs 1 crore for Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum saath saath hain. In 2012, she was ranked #77 on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list. Between 1996 and 2000, she remained on Box Office India’s Top Actresses list, securing the top position three times.
The actor’s fleet of luxury cars is equally impressive. Karisma is said to own a Mercedes-Benz S-Class (Rs 1.71–1.80 crore), Lexus LX470 (Rs 2.82 crore), Mercedes-Benz E-Class (Rs 75–88 lakh), BMW 7 Series (Rs 1.81–1.84 crore), and an Audi Q7 (Rs 86.92 lakh– Rs 94.45 lakh).
