New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started conducting the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for June 2025 session. The UGC NET June 2025 exams are scheduled for June 25 to 29. The NTA will be conducting the UGC NET exams 2025 for a total of 85 subjects in CBT mode.

Candidates who have registered for the entrance exam and are gearing up to appear must get familiar with the exam day guidelines and documents to carry. The entrance exam will be held in two shifts – 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. Explore UGC NET exam day guidelines and other details.

What to carry on exam day?

The NTA has stated that the UGC NET admit card 2025 will be released only 4 days before the exam date. Candidates need to use their application number and date of birth to download UGC NET hall ticket 2025. One should note that candidates are not allowed inside the exam centre without a valid hall ticket. Candidates must also carry one passport-size photograph, a valid government-issued photo ID proof, and an admit card to the exam centre.

UGC NET exam pattern

NTA will conduct the UGC NET June 2025 exam in a computer-based test consisting of two papers. Each paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will be conducted in a single session without any breaks. The duration of the exam is 180 minutes. Paper I and Paper II will consist of 50 and 100 questions, respectively.

  • Candidates must report at the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the shift timings.
  • One should bring all the required documents along with admit card to the exam centre
  • The NTA has also issued a strict dress code. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notice for more details.
  • No electronic devices and study material inside the exam centre.
