Aamir Khan , who returned to the big screen with ' Sitaare Zameen Par ', couldn’t hide his happiness as he thanked audiences for the outpour of love and support for his latest film.
In a candid video shared by on Instagram, the actor looked rather overwhelmed by the reception his latest film has received. Speaking to Buzzookaprime, Aamir said with a wide smile, “Bahut khushi ho rahi hai mujhe. Yeh film ko itna accha response mil raha hai, itna pyaar mil raha hai.”
The excitement wasn’t just his own. Aamir went on to share how proud he was of the young debutants in the film, “Especially main itna khush ho ki… Dass Sitaare hain na, woh itne excited hain ki unhone pehli film ki aur woh film superhit ho gayi,” he added.
His message ended on a simple, heartfelt note, “Itni khushi ho rahi hai. We are very happy. We are very grateful. Thank you.”
Directed by R.S. Prasanna, 'Si taare Zameen Par ' carries the emotional weight of its spiritual predecessor, 'Taare Zameen Par'. But this time, the spotlight is on a group of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their journey on a basketball court.
While the earlier film sensitively dealt with dyslexia, this one expands the conversation to Down Syndrome , speech impediment, and invisible autism, topics rarely handled with such warmth on the big screen.
More Than Just a Sports Film
'Sitaare Zameen Par' is getting much love from the audiences, not only for it's sports film aspect, but also due to the charming characters. they’re real, relatable, and deeply human.
ETimes review for the movie read, "Aamir Khan stands out as the brash, initially insensitive, and politically incorrect coach. He convincingly portrays a man who evolves while retaining a certain swagger. Genelia Deshmukh is sincere as his wife Suneeta, though her character lacks depth. The ensemble cast—Ashish Pendse, Aroush Datta, Aayush Bhansali, Rishi Shahani, GopiKrishnan K Verma, Rishabh Jain, Vedant Sharma, Simran Mangeshkar, Samvit Desai, and Naman Misra—deserves applause for bringing energy, authenticity, and warmth to the film."
