Indore (Madhya Pradesh): MBA in Financial Administration (FA) and Marketing Management (MM) once again emerged as the most sought-after courses offered by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya teaching departments as cut off for both these programmes stood at 64th and 127th ranks respectively.

The ranks were prepared from the scores obtained by students who took the common university entrance test (CUET) for admission to PG courses.

DAVV released the allotment list of the first round of online counselling for admission to professional postgraduate (PG) courses offered by its teaching departments.

The MBA (FA) emerged as the most sought-after course, with unreserved category seats allotted only up to the 64th rank, reflecting intense competition. In MBA (MM), seats were filled up to the 127th rank.

Admissions are being conducted for 1,435 seats across 24 PG programmes, with allotments based on CUET-PG scores and students’ choice filling preferences. Despite 86,000 students nationwide selecting DAVV as an option during CUET-PG, only around 1,600 registered for the first counselling phase. Still, many programmes witnessed high cutoffs.

CUET committee member Prof BK Tripathi said, “Students from across the country have applied for DAVV. In the first phase, over 75 per cent of the seats have already been allotted.”

In the top five most competitive courses, MBA (Business Analytics) saw allotments up to the 224 th rank.

Meanwhile, programmes like MBA in Foreign Trade, Media Management, Tourism, Advertising and Public Relations (APR) and International Business saw allotments ranging from ranks 300 to 1100.

As many as 24 courses of DAVV, including 16 MBA programmes and eight other programmes, offered by 11 teaching departments are under the purview of CUET-PG.

Reporting and admission process

Students who received allotments are required to report to their respective departments for admission and document verification on July 1 and 2. They must carry an allotment letter, CUET scorecard, counselling registration form, category-wise merit list, passport-size photo, qualifying exam mark-sheet, transfer certificate, migration certificate and other relevant documents.

Reporting times will vary by course and those failing to report on time will be excluded from the process.
