In a significant move to enhance road safety and streamline traffic flow, the Dwarka Expressway has become home to India's inaugural Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).
This innovative project, developed by the Indian Highways Management Company Ltd (IHMCL) and executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), spans a total distance of 56.46 kilometers and is being hailed as a national benchmark for AI-driven traffic management.
The ATMS employs artificial intelligence, sensors, and real-time data analytics to bolster road safety. The Dwarka Expressway serves as the third major route linking Delhi with Gurugram.
Measuring 29 kilometers in length, the expressway begins at Shiv Murti on National Highway 8 and extends to the outskirts of Gurugram.
This expressway significantly eases travel for individuals heading to Gurugram and the Indira Gandhi International Airport, making commutes more efficient.
