Rajkummar Rao has long been rumoured to play the role of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly in his much-anticipated biopic. Recently, the versatile actor finally addressed the speculation, offering some clarity on whether he will indeed step into the shoes of the iconic cricketer.

According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, “Now that Dada has already said it, let me also make it official - yes, I am playing him in his biopic.”

Rajkummar Rao admitted that the prospect of playing Sourav Ganguly on screen comes with its fair share of pressure. Calling it a “huge responsibility”, the actor confessed that he’s understandably nervous about portraying such a legendary and beloved figure from Indian cricket history.
