The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a press release on 17 June. In which he informed that Right Arm Paper Harshit Rana has been included in the Indian squad for the first Test to be held against England in Leeds. He will travel with the team. Rana was earlier a part of India A against England Lions. Where he got a chance to play in the final-11 in the first unofficial Test.
According to reports, Harshit was released from Team India after the first Test against England. The 23 -year -old did not travel with the team for the second match in Birmingham. However, official information has not come from BCCI on this. Rana was associated with the squad for only one test.
In the press release issued by the BCCI to connect Harshit Rana with Team India for the Handingley Test against England, said,
“The Men Selection Committee has included Harshit Rana in the Indian team for the first Test against England in Leeds. Rana, who was part of the India A team, has joined the team with the first Test preparations”.
India and England will play the next Test at Edgbaston located in Birmingham. This match will start from July 2. In the five-match series, the hosts are currently ahead 1-0.
