In today's era when everything has become digital, cases of SIM card fraud are also increasing rapidly. To commit a crime, criminals take a SIM card in someone else's name and misuse it. If this happens to you too, then you may have to face legal consequences. But now the government has started a website from which any person can get information about all the mobile numbers running in his name and can also get unknown numbers blocked.
Find out how many numbers are active in your name.
If you want to know how many mobile numbers are active in your name, then for this you have to visit the Department of Telecommunications website https://www.sancharsaathi.gov.in. Here you will get the option of 'Know Your Mobile Connections (TAFCOP)' under the 'Citizen-Centric Services' section.
After clicking on it, enter your mobile number, captcha code, and OTP. After this, all the mobile numbers linked to your Aadhaar number will appear on your screen.
This feature helps you to check from time to time whether your information like your Aadhaar number, name, and address is being misused or not. This is an important step, by which you can save yourself from mobile fraud and cheating.

DoT has increased strictness.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is taking several strict steps to prevent SIM card fraud. If a person is caught taking a SIM using someone else's Aadhaar card, then he is banned from taking a SIM for the next three years.
Apart from this, e-KYC and face verification have been made mandatory so that fake SIMs cannot be issued. Till now lakhs of fake SIM cards have been blocked and this campaign is being further intensified.
