The matter began with the police arresting a man named Pradeep, who is alleged to have supplied drugs to Prasad, a former AIADMK IT wing executive. Based on his confession, famous actor Srikanth was arrested.
Following this, the police widened the investigation net after other detainees said that Krishna, brother of director Vishnu Vardhan and actor of the film Kazhugu, had used drugs.
17-hour interrogation unveils new links
After information emerged that Krishna was at one point in hiding in Kerala, four special teams were formed to capture him. The police later decided to interrogate Krishna, who later appeared at the police station, in a secret location. During the interrogation, which reportedly lasted for over 17 hours, many questions were raised about Krishna's bank transactions, cell phone communications, and relations with the AIADMK executive, according to reports.
Medical test results and uncertain fate

The police investigation now appears to have reached a very important stage, and there is an expectation that new information may emerge.
