Naga Munchetty cheekily quizzed Gethin Jones on BBC Breakfast as the show linked up with Morning Live to preview the day's itinerary.
The esteemed 50 year old journalist graced the iconic red sofa once more on Thursday (June 26), joining forces with Ben Thompson to rouse the nation with the day's leading stories from around the world.
As per usual, Naga and Ben segued to Gethin and co-host Kimberley Walsh to give the audience a sneak peek at what their programme had in store.
The smooth transition followed a lively discussion about road rage featuring Ben Boulos, a topic that Gethin neatly threaded into his own segment.
"I can't imagine either Ben getting road rage. Both lovely, mild-mannered men aren't they?" mused Gethin, prompting an off-screen chuckle from Naga who couldn't help but inquire: "What does that mean, Gethin?".
Amidst laughter, Gethin regained composure with a playful "As I was saying" before delving into the anticipated features of Morning Live's latest broadcast.
The light-hearted exchange came after Naga candidly spoke on Emily Dean's podcast Walking The Dog With Emily Dean about grappling with medical misogyny and managing criticism in the public eye.
Speaking frankly, she uttered: "Firstly this is not a woe is me conversation but what happens is you are mindful of your behaviour in public more so than I think most people who aren't on air.
"Not that I want to go and, I don't know, take a dump in public or something like that", she joked, adding that representing any broadcaster, especially the BBC, carries the weight of public recognition and implied responsibility.
She continued: "And if you're seen as the face of the BBC, you unconsciously, but necessarily uphold certain values.
"When you watch Breakfast, you feel like you've got some trusted friends who are getting you through the day and through the news.
"There would be a slight disappointment, I think if you saw me, rip roaring drunk, rolling around the floor and shouting profanities."
BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6am
