The complete schedule of the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Service (PCS) Main Examination 2024 has been released by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The Mains exam will be conducted from 29 to 30 June and 1 to 2 July. The UP PCS Main Exam will be held in two shifts every day. Only those candidates will be included in it, who have been declared successful in the preliminary examination. All the candidates who pass the Mains exam will be interviewed.

The exam will start from 9 am in the first shift and will run till noon. At the same time, the examination will be conducted in the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. The main examination will be conducted at the centers set up in Prayagraj and Lucknow. There will be a total of seven compulsory papers in the exam, which will include General Hindi, an Essay, four General Studies papers, and two papers related to Uttar Pradesh. Each General Studies paper will be of 200 marks, while General Hindi and Essay papers will be of 150 marks each. Admit card has been issued for the Mains exam.

UPPSC PCS Exam: How many candidates appeared in the preliminary examination?
A total of 5,76,154 candidates had registered for the PCS Preliminary Examination 2024, out of which 2,41,359 candidates appeared in the examination. The UP Public Service Commission declared the results of the PCS 2024 preliminary examination on 28 February, in which 15,066 candidates passed the examination. The commission will call the candidates who pass the main examination for an interview. The interview will be of total 100 marks. For UP PCS 2024, recruitment will be done for a total of 947 posts including SDM, DSP and Sub Registrar Transport.
