Arsenal could go from zero to four summer signings within the next seven days as an important deadline fast approaches.

All of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have agreed to join the Gunners, withCristhian Mosquera the latest name edging closer to an Emirates Stadium switch. Despite appearing set to sign four players, it is unlikely the club's spending exceeds £100million with the current financial year concluding on June 30.

Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta are also working on marquee additions in the attacking areas, with Rodrygo the most likely wide forward addition. The chances of Arsenal signing him now appear to have increased following another big Xabi Alonso decision.

Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, meanwhile, are the two names linked to filling the striker void. With all of that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

Rodrygo transfer hint

Once again, Rodrygo was named on the bench for Real Madrid, with their Club World Cup group-stage campaign concluding in a 3-0 triumph over RB Salzburg.

That result was enough to see them finish top and set up a last-16 clash against Juventus, where the Brazil international will be hoping for more than the 23 minutes he has been handed in the last two games.

Even with Kylian Mbappe out, Rodrygo has been struggling for minutes all while Arda Guler started again and Gonzalo Garcia impressed.

football.london says: If Arsenal can meet his asking price, which is likely to be £77 million (€90m), it is very likely Rodrygo will be open to the switch seeing how he has been treated these last few weeks.

If he is not completely convinced by the Gunners, having the chance to play in his actual preferred position should do the trick. Vinicius Jr currently occupies the left-wing spot at Los Blancos, and thus he has been pushed to the opposite flank with Real lacking a natural elite option in that position.

In north London, meanwhile, it is the opposite, with Bukayo Saka on the right and Gabriel Martinelli the favoured choice on the left, but he struggled to have a lasting impact in the 2024/25 season. With a vacancy there and Rodrygo staying in the Spanish capital seemingly unlikely, it is a no-brainer move to formally pursue.

Deal 'agreed' for Arsenal-linked winger

Numerous wingers have been mooted by Arsenal over the last 12 months, and another of those is on the move. Alongside Bryan Mbuemo and Nico Williams likely joining Manchester United and Barcelona, respectively, Atletico Madrid have agreed a £42million (€50m) deal with Villarreal for Alex Baena.

The Gunners have been tentatively linked to the Spaniard over the last few years, and he has continued to contribute regularly in La Liga.

football.london says: Though he did not appear to be a concrete option this summer, that is another potential name off the shortlist.

The 23-year-old has posted at least 18 goal contributions for the last three seasons, with that impact in the final third something Arsenal are lacking off the left. Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have ticked along, but it is certainly time for an upgrade.

Baena could have been that for Arteta, but that is no longer the case with his medical at Atletico set to take place soon.
