New Delhi: In a deeply emotional and tragic turn of events, actress and model Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic appearance in the music video ‘Kaanta Laga’, passed away at the age of 42. The news of her sudden demise has left fans and the entertainment industry in utter shock. But what has further stirred emotions is the realisation that her last post on social media was a tribute to late actor and former partner Sidharth Shukla.
In September 2024, Shefali shared a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter) remembering Sidharth Shukla on his third death anniversary. She posted a throwback photo in which she can be seen hugging him, captioned: “Thinking of you today mere dost”, with a red heart emoji. The post, now being widely circulated online, carries a deeper emotional weight following her sudden passing.

Sidharth, who was also a co-contestant on Bigg Boss 13 alongside Shefali, had passed away on September 2, 2021, due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 40.
Interestingly, Shefali and Sidharth were in a relationship many years ago but had parted ways on good terms. In a past interview with BollywoodLife, Shefali had reflected on their bond in the Bigg Boss house and said, “Even after we stopped dating, we were always cordial whenever we bumped into each other.”
Shefali reportedly suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at her Mumbai residence on Friday night. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. The police and forensic teams were later spotted at her Andheri home, and a post-mortem is currently underway to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Shefali Jariwala had been active in the entertainment industry for over two decades, and after her breakout success with ‘Kaanta Laga’, she appeared in several reality shows, including 'Bigg Boss 13'. She had been married to actor Parag Tyagi since 2014.
