The sudden death of actress Shefali Jariwala has left a deep void in the hearts of her fans and loved ones. Known for her iconic appearance in Kaanta Laga at the young age of 19, Shefali made a lasting mark in the entertainment industry through her charm, confidence, and individuality. But beyond the spotlight, one question that often followed Shefali and her husband Parag Tyagi was—why didn’t they ever have a child of their own, despite being financially well-off?

Shefali addressed this deeply personal topic during a candid conversation on Paras Chhabra’s podcast, and her answer revealed a side of her that many admired even more.

“Anyone Can Love Their Own Child…”

When asked about their baby plans, Shefali responded with grace and thoughtfulness.

“We can have our own child any time. But I believe there are many children in the world who don’t have a home, who need love.”

Shefali shared that her desire to adopt wasn’t something new—it began when she was just a teenager.

“When I was 12 or 13 and learned about adoption, the thought stayed with me. Since then, I always felt that I would adopt a child one day.”

Her words reflected maturity beyond measure.

“Everyone loves their own child. But the one who raises someone else’s child as their own—that, to me, is truly grown-up love.”

Why the Adoption Didn't Happen

Shefali also revealed that she and Parag had been actively trying to adopt a child, but the lengthy and complex adoption process in India had been a major hurdle. Despite the delays, they never gave up on the idea and had hoped to complete the process someday.

A Love Beyond Convention

Shefali and Parag, married since 2014, were known for their strong relationship and shared values. They participated in shows like Nach Baliye and were always seen as one of the most grounded couples in the industry.

In a world often obsessed with conventional milestones, Shefali’s perspective on motherhood and love was refreshing and deeply inspiring. She may no longer be with us, but her legacy is not just that of the Kaanta Laga Girl—it’s of a woman with a big heart and a vision of love that went beyond herself.
