WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Squid Game.

The much-anticipated third season of Squid Game has finally landed on Netflix, marking the end of the iconic Korean drama.

Eager fans have been yearning for the return of Squid Game since the dramatic cliffhanger of series two aired back in December 2024.

The final six episodes are now available to stream with season three premiering on Friday, June 27, on Netflix.

However, as subscribers begin to delve into the emotionally charged series, some of its leading stars have been occupied with another project that's a world away from Squid Game.

Throughout all three series, Gi-hun (portrayed by Lee Jung-jae), also known as Player 456, and the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) have been at odds with each other.

The tension between the duo escalated after the series two finale which saw Front Man brutally kill Gi-hun's friend Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan) in his presence.

Despite the conclusion of Squid Game, Byung-hun and Jung-jae will be reuniting in front of the cameras for their first venture post the final series.

As per their IMDb pages, the Squid Game actors will be featuring in the forthcoming Korean action-comedy crime drama Do-cheong.

The plot summary reveals that it is "about an intelligent crime investigations team which centres around the 'bugging' system".

While no details about Byung-hun's character have been disclosed yet, Jung-jae will be playing a character named Ko Chang-sun.

Do-cheong is still in its infancy, currently tucked away in pre-production with no word yet on where audiences will be able to catch the series.

Ahead of the third series' launch, star Jung-jae shared his thoughts on parting ways with the show: "Actors are always destined to meet their characters and then eventually let them go-that's just the nature of the life we live.

"Fate has given me many projects over the years, but as time passes, those works and characters gradually fade from memory.

"I've experienced this for a very long time, so even though Squid Game and the character Seong Gi-hun are receiving so much love and support right now, I can't help but think that soon, they too will be forgotten."

Squid Game is available to watch on Netflix.
