New Toll Rates for Commuters

Travelers utilizing the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway will face a toll increase of 25% compared to national highways. For those driving their personal vehicles between Lucknow and Kanpur, the new toll will be set at Rs 125, as reported by local sources.

Previously, the toll for a one-way trip was Rs 100. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will begin collecting this new fee once the expressway is officially opened.

An NHAI representative indicated that the expressway's construction is expected to be completed by July 31, with a grace period extending until October 31. Currently, over 90% of the elevated route is finished, while approximately 94% of the greenfield work has been completed.

Reports suggest that three flyovers are under construction along the expressway. Officials have proposed the installation of five toll booths within a 63 km stretch.

The proposed locations for the toll booths include Miranpur Pinwat, Khandedev, Bani, Amarsas, and Azad Nagar.
