A scary crash took place during the Formula 2 sprint race in Austria, where driver Sami Meguetounif ended up upside down after a dramatic accident. The crash happened on Lap 2 at Turn 3 of the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Meguetounif was trying to pass Arvid Lindblad on the inside, but the two cars made contact. The impact launched Meguetounif’s car into the air, flipping it over and landing it right on top of Luke Browning’s car. Meguetounif’s car slid upside down across the top of Browning’s cockpit before coming to a stop.

Thankfully, both Meguetounif and Browning were not injured. They were able to get out of their cars safely. Fans and officials praised the Halo safety device, which likely protected Browning from serious harm. The Halo is a strong metal bar around the driver’s head that helps prevent injuries in crashes like this.

After the red flag, the race restarted with a rolling start. More incidents followed, but Pepe Marti went on to win the race. This crash was a reminder of how dangerous motorsport can be, but also how modern safety equipment like the Halo continues to save lives.

Formula 1: Yuki Tsunoda Shares Funny Moment After Mistaking Brad Pitt For A Fan

Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda recently shared a funny story which involved F1: The Movie star Brad Pitt. While leaving a hotel in New York City, Tsunoda ran into Pitt but later admitted that he didn’t recognise Pitt at first and thought he was just another fan trying to meet the drivers.

"When I was exiting the hotel, someone said, 'Yuki, Yuki,' from behind. Yeah, I thought he was a random fan. And when I looked behind, it was Brad Pitt. And yeah, he just came to me and said 'hi'. So he's a really fun guy. Very nice guy," said Tsunoda.

The movie, which features real F1 action and includes several actual drivers, was being filmed during real Grand Prix weekends. So, Tsunoda and other drivers had the chance to appear in scenes, interact with actors, and get a taste of Hollywood.

This story has become a fan favorite online, showing Tsunoda’s humble and humorous personality. Even though he races with some of the best in the world, he’s not afraid to admit he didn’t recognize Brad Pitt right away.

The moment was a fun mix of racing and celebrity culture and a reminder that sometimes, even F1 drivers can get caught off guard by a superstar.
