Jitendra Kumar was born in a small village in Rajasthan. Since childhood, he had a natural love for acting, often imitating stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. But like many Indian kids, he was pushed towards a “secure” career.

He moved to Kota to prepare for engineering entrance exams and eventually cracked the prestigious IIT JEE. He studied Civil Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, one of India’s top institutions. Later, the Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan actor joined the ‘Hindi Technology Dramatic Society’ at the same university, where he followed his passion for acting with theatre and stage performances.  After graduation, he took up a job at a multinational company. However, he soon realised that the 9-to-5 corporate life was not for him.

The Turning Point: From IIT to TVF to Panchayat

During his time at IIT, Panchayat’s Sachiv ji was active in drama and theatre. His interest in acting grew stronger when he met Biswapati Sarkar, a key member of The Viral Fever (TVF). With support and encouragement, he took a leap of faith and quit his MNC job to follow his passion for acting.

He started his acting journey with TVF shows like:

  • Kota Factory
  • Permanent Roommates
  • Pitchers
  • Bachelors
  • Humorously Yours
  • F.A.T.H.E.R.S.

Jitendra also appeared in several films, including Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Jaadugar, Gone Kesh, Chaman Bahaar, Dry Day, and Lantrani.
