The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the application process for the National Teacher Award 2025. Teachers or principals of private independent schools recognized by CBSE can apply for this award. This award is given to those teachers who work to shape the future of children through innovative methods and their passion for education. They are honored for their extraordinary contribution to education. The last date to register for this award is 6 July 2025.

How can you apply?

First of all, go to the official website of CBSE cbseit.in.

Then the candidates will get a self-nomination form there, in which they will have to give information about their educational achievements, experience, and contributions.

Teachers have to tell their achievements so that the selection committee can fully appreciate their work.

What is the selection process?

The selection process for the National Teacher Award 2025 will be in two phases. In the first phase, the merit list will be prepared based on the application of the teacher. If selected on the merit list, they will be called for an interview in the second phase. During the interview, their academic achievements, innovative teaching methods, and contributions will be evaluated. This process is fair and transparent to ensure that the most qualified teachers of the country get this honor.

How many teachers got the award last year?

Last year, a total of 82 teachers in the country received the National Teacher Award. Of these, two were from Uttar Pradesh, two from Madhya Pradesh, and two from Bihar. As an award, teachers will be given a merit certificate, a cash prize of Rs 50 thousand, and a silver medal. Apart from this, the award winners will also get a chance to talk to the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi.
