Aaryaveer Kohli , 15, the son of Virat Kohli’s elder brother Vikas Kohli, has been included in the initial draft of players shortlisted for the Delhi Premier League (DPL) auction scheduled for July 5.
Aaryaveer, a leg-spinner, trains under Raj Kumar Sharma—Virat Kohli’s childhood coach—at the West Delhi Cricket Academy. He has been slotted in Category C, having been a registered player for Delhi Under-16s last season. In Delhi cricket, registered players are those who make it to the final squad of 30.

He is not the only relative of an Indian cricket legend in the mix. Another young cricketer with a similar name—Aaryavir Sehwag, the 17-year-old son of former India opener Virender Sehwag—also features in the draft. Aaryavir, who represented Delhi Under-19s and scored a remarkable 297 against Meghalaya, has been placed in Category B, along with his younger brother Vedant, 15, an off-spinner who played for Delhi Under-16s.

This year’s DPL will feature eight teams, with Outer Delhi and New Delhi franchises joining the existing six: East Delhi Riders, North Delhi Strikers, West Delhi Lions, South Delhi Superstarz, Purani Dilli 6, and Central Delhi Kings.
Last year, East Delhi Riders clinched a thrilling three-run win over South Delhi Superstarz to win the inaugural Delhi Premier League T20.
