Wimbledon is finally upon us as the first round gets underway at the All England Club. And players will be forced to deal with a heat wave in south west London right from the outset.

Carlos Alcaraz will be eyeing up a third consecutive men's title after overcoming Novak Djokovic in the last two finals. The Spaniard arrives at Wimbledon riding a wave of success after winning Queen's following an epic five-set French Open victory over Jannik Sinner three weeks ago. Meanwhile, Barbora Krejcikova is aiming to retain the ladies' title following her triumph over Jasmine Paolini in the showpiece match a year ago. But Aryna Sabalenka enters the tournament as the favourite, with the three-time Grand Slam champion taking on Canadian model Carson Branstine in her opening match.
