M62 traffic LIVE: Motorway grinds to a halt as vehicle fire sparks huge delays Newspoint  |  30/06/2025 18:39:23

All traffic was stopped on the M62 after a vehicle fire closed down the motorway during rush hour. The incident took place on the M62 Westbound from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor), and emergency services were on the scene.

Traffic was building during the morning rush hour, and National Highways said the incident wouldn't likely be cleared until 9.30am.
