Bihar Engineering University (BEU) marked a historic academic milestone today with the digital declaration of the B. Tech results for the academic session 2021–25 and the first-ever Ph.D. program results. The announcement was made by Shri Sumit Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Science, Technology & Technical Education (DSTTE), Government of Bihar, during a press conference held at the Taramandal Auditorium, Patna.

The timely release of the 8th semester B. Tech results underscores BEU’s commitment to academic discipline and transparency. Simultaneously, the declaration of results for full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs represents a pivotal moment as BEU launches its doctoral studies initiative. Students can access their results on the university’s official website: beu-bih.ac.in.

Speaking at the event, Shri Sumit Kumar Singh remarked, “This is a proud moment for Bihar. From offering Government Polytechnic Diplomas at ₹5 per month, to ₹10 monthly tuition fees in Government Engineering Colleges for B. Tech students, then the introduction of M. Tech courses, and now stepping confidently into Ph.D. education, Bihar is nurturing the engineers and researchers of tomorrow.”

He emphasized the role of modern infrastructure, BPSC-recruited faculty, hostel amenities, and residential quarters in facilitating student placements in top companies and admission to premier institutes like IITs and NITs. He also noted that one-third of seats in B.Tech and M.Tech programs are reserved for female candidates.

Dr. Pratima, IAS, Secretary of DSTTE, congratulated BEU on this achievement and stated, “Timely publication of student results is the real measure of academic progress. Bihar is entering a golden era of technical education, with industry collaborations, MoUs, and prompt academic reporting opening new doors for our students.”

She further noted the introduction of cutting-edge specializations such as AI, IoT, Cyber Security, Biomedical Engineering, and Robotics, which complement traditional programs and enhance employability. Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Verma, Vice Chancellor of BEU, proudly shared that the university received the ISTE award for Best Emerging University 2024 in recognition of its excellence. He also announced the launch of M.Tech in Geoinformatics starting in the 2025–27 academic session.

Admissions for the new academic year will begin soon, with classes for the 2025–29 B.Tech batch commencing on 21 July. He emphasized that timely result declarations and research-driven programs like Ph.D. will reshape Bihar’s technical education landscape.

The press conference was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including Hon’ble Minister Shri Sumit Kumar Singh; Dr. Pratima, IAS, Secretary, DSTTE; Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Verma, Vice Chancellor, BEU; Shri Ahmad Mahmood, Additional Secretary-cum-Director, DSTTE; Dr. Pradip Kumar, Registrar, BEU; and Dr. Anant Kumar, Project Director, Bihar Council on Science & Technology (BCST), among other distinguished guests, senior officials, and members of the media.
