Beneficiaries who do not complete this process by the end of the day will face a suspension of their ration cards for a period of three months.
During a press briefing, Patra highlighted that approximately 20.58 lakh beneficiaries in the state have yet to fulfill the e-KYC requirement, which is mandated by the Central Government and has a deadline of today.
According to the new regulations, individuals who fail to complete the e-KYC will not be eligible to receive rice through the public distribution system (PDS) starting this month. The suspension will last for three months, as stated by the Minister.
He emphasized that ration access will only be reinstated once the e-KYC process is successfully completed. If beneficiaries do not complete the verification within the three-month period, their ration cards will be permanently canceled.
The state government is urging all eligible beneficiaries to promptly complete their e-KYC verification to ensure they continue to receive subsidized food grains.
