Not only are Tunisia and Morocco renowned for their breathtaking beauty, rich culture, and delicious cuisine, but they have also recently been crowned the most affordable destinations for all-inclusive retreats. According to a new study, Morocco offers the best value for families, while Tunisia is the top choice for couples. The study, based on booking and pricing data from OTA loveholidays for the first quarter of the year, found that Morocco stands out as the best deal for families, with last-minute seven-night breaks averaging just £81 per person per night.

Tunisia, on the other hand, offers the best value for couples, with seven-night holidays averaging £123 per person per night. Beyond their affordability, Tunisia and Morocco offer incredible cultural and natural experiences that go far beyond the hotel walls and holiday resorts.

Tunisia is home to nine UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the ancient ruins of Carthage, the Roman amphitheatre at El Jem, the blue and white town of Sidi Bou Said, and the vast Sahara Desert.

The country's diverse landscapes range from forests and villages to vibrant souks and stunning mosques like the Ez-Zitouna Mosque. Tunisia also has crystal-clear beaches such as Hammamet and Sidi Mahrez Beach on Djerba Island.

In Morocco, visitors can explore the bustling medinas of Marrakech, Fez, and Chefchaouen, the Sahara Desert, the High Atlas Mountains, and the charming seaside town of Essaouira.

There are countless sights to explore, from the Jardin Majorelle to the majestic Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and the vibrant markets of Marrakech.

Not only are all-inclusive resorts reasonably priced, but costs in town are also affordable and budget-friendly

According to Numbeo, the cost of living in Tunisia is, on average, 57.5% lower than in the United Kingdom.

A three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant costs around 60 Tunisian Dinars (approximately £14.90), while an inexpensive meal can be as cheap as 10 Dinars (£2.50), which is cheaper than the average price for a pint in the UK.

In Morocco, a meal at an inexpensive restaurant typically costs around 40 Moroccan Dirhams (£3.24), and a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant averages 250 Dirhams (£20.20), according to Numbeo.
