Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has been making headlines ever since he announced his sudden exit from Hera Pheri 3, which was a major disappointment for the franchise's fans. In fact, his decision led to friction with the makers, eventually resulting in a legal fallout.

Recently, the actor confirmed his return for the third instalment of the blockbuster franchise, much to the delight of fans. Speaking on The Himanshu Mehta Show podcast, Paresh addressed the infamous controversy, revealing that everything has now been resolved.

In the same conversation, Paresh Rawal criticised the inflation in ticket prices in Hindi cinema. He, moreover, slammed the recliner experience in multiplexes.

In a recent conversation, Paresh Rawal drew a parallel and compared the pricing model with South Indian cinema, whose ticket prices are regulated and usually don't exceed Rs. 200.

He also slammed the recliners in multiplexes, saying that films are meant to be watched sitting upright, and that it isn’t a spa. He also expressed his frustration with in-theatre service and distractions.

He remarked, “If the aam janta (general public) shuns your film and only the rich class endorses your films, then it’s wrong. If a middle-class family, comprising 5-6 members, go to watch a film, unke Rs. 5,000-6,000 toh yuh nikal jaate hai. Also, there’s no guarantee that the film will satisfy you. On top of that, the kids will of course ask for popcorn, soda and ice cream.”

Paresh also slammed the recliner seats section in multiplexes, saying, "You are supposed to watch a film while sitting. Let ke nahin dekhi jaati. You haven’t come to a spa, you have come to see a film! Also, waiters keep roaming around. We have to tell them ‘Hatt, hatt’. Arre it’s a film, not a wedding event. Because of all this gandagi – gold class and all– you don’t feel like going to the cinemas. It’s okay to sit comfortably on a seat. But why sit (lying down) with a pillow? Aise hi baithna hai toh spa mein jao ya fir mujra dekhne jao!”

Meanwhile, in the same conversation, Paresh said that the differences have been ‘resolved’, and that the film will proceed as planned.

“What happens is that when something is loved by so many people, we have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility towards the audience. The audience loves you so much, you can’t take that for granted. You have to give them your best through hard work. So, my view is that everyone should come together and work hard. Nothing else. But nothing has actually happened. It is all resolved now," he said.

Paresh will next be seen in Nikita Roy, which marks the directorial debut of Shatrughan Sinha’s son, Kussh Sinha. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Rampal and Suhail Nayyar in key roles.

It was initially slated to release on June 27, but has now been postponed to July 18.
