After this, an OTP will come, you have to fill it. After doing this, the option to lock/unlock Aadhaar will appear. After clicking on the lock, the Aadhaar of the deceased person will be locked.

How is PAN card closed

Along with Aadhaar card, PAN card is also a very important document. It is used for everything from opening an account to filing income tax returns. According to the rules, if a person dies, his family members should surrender the PAN card. You can surrender it by contacting the Income Tax Department. However, before surrendering it, you should get all the bank accounts in the name of the deceased transferred to your name, otherwise there will be a problem later.
