Indian Railways is going to make important changes to provide better facilities to its passengers. The reservation chart which was prepared 4 hours before the train departure will now be prepared 8 hours in advance. This change will bring great relief to those passengers who used to get delayed in getting information about their seats, especially those who travel from far away to catch the train. On this change, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the ticketing system should be 'smart, transparent, accessible and effective'. This means that ticket booking should be easy, everything should be visible, it should be available to everyone and it should be effective.

Can also see it on the phone

Along with knowing about this change in the charting system of Railways, you should also know that you can see the reservation chart very easily on your phone as well. For this, you must have an IRCTC account. After this, you will be able to see the chart on the phone very easily with the help of the IRCTC website or app. For this, you will not need to find the chart at the station. Let us tell you that the chart contains information about which seat is reserved and which is vacant in which coach. With its help, passengers can plan their journey well and get to know the availability of seats in time. This initiative of the Railways has been taken to increase the convenience of passengers and ensure transparency. Let us understand how you can see the chart on your phone.

How to check on the phone

To see the reservation chart on the phone:

First of all open the IRCTC app or website.

After this go to the "Train" or "Ticket" section and then select the option of "Chart/Vacancy" or "Reservation Chart".

After this enter the train number, boarding station, and date of travel.

After giving all the information, you will see the information on vacant seats available in the chart.

If you want to see vacant seats in a particular coach or class, then you can also choose that option.

Strict rules on Tatkal tickets from July 1

Let us tell you that now only one day is left when from July 1, only registered users will be able to book Tatkal tickets. Actually, from July 1, registration will have to be done on the IRCTC website or app. Not only this, OTP verification will also be necessary to book tickets. This verification will be done through an Aadhar card or any government identity card present in DigiLocker.
