Vin Diesel has caused an emotional storm among Fast & Furious fans by suggesting that Paul Walker’s legendary character, Brian O’Conner, will be back in Fast X: Part 2. The late actor, who was involved in a fatal car accident in 2013, was bid farewell in Fast & Furious 7 in a poignant scene with the help of VFX and body doubles acted out by his brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker.
A Reunion in the Making
While attending the recent Fuel Fest in Pomona, California—put on by Cody Walker—Diesel revealed three stipulations he provided Universal Studios for the conclusion, which will be released in April 2027. They were to bring the movie back to Los Angeles, return to the origins of street racing, and most importantly, reunite Dom and Brian. “That is what you’re going to get in the finale,” Diesel confirmed, hinting at the use of advanced CGI and VFX to recreate Brian O’Conner’s presence.

The internet soon filled with responses. Some fans welcomed the news, hailing it as a proper homage, while others were not so sure.
